Thank you for taking the time to visit my website and find out a little more about who I am and what I do! My name is Amanda and I am a fully qualified hypnotherapist and counsellor. I am a registrant member of The National Hypnotherapy Society and hold a certificate in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills (Cert. Hyp. CS), and I am a member of the National Counselling Society (NCS). I provide professional talking therapies, which include counselling, hypnotherapy, stress management and mentoring to help support and improve your confidence, mental health, and wellbeing.
Sometimes life and the world around us can be stressful and challenge us with events, thoughts and feelings, fears and phobias, stress and anxiety that may be difficult to overcome. These unhelpful patterns of behaviour and negative thinking can throw us off kilter and hold us back from doing and achieving the things that we enjoy. I am passionate about helping you to enjoy your life to the full so you can feel happy and confident. Working with me can potentially help you to overcome personal difficulties and insecurities, that may be troubling you and preventing you from feeling the positive balance that you need in your day-to-day living. I will work with you to overcome and free you from whatever is holding you back; often, all it takes is to learn the tools that allow you to manage and change your life for the better by maintaining optimum mental and emotional health. Releasing tension from your mind and body allows you to have a healthy attitude every single day!
In addition to my therapist work, my background is in performing arts and for many years in my early career I worked as a professional dancer before working in education and training. I am fortunate to have experienced a varied career in theatre and business and feel privileged to have worked with a wide variety of people from young students through to adults and professionals from different walks of life. I am passionate about everything I do and believe that good mental health is essential for continued personal growth and development.
