Gentle Movement & Wellbeing Classes in Gillingham, Kent

at EASE

A little time for you. A little space to breathe.

Move gently. Breathe deeply. Connect with yourself.

In a world that often encourages us to keep going, keep doing and keep giving, how often do we allow ourselves the time and space to simply be?

at EASE is a welcoming wellbeing class that brings together gentle movement, dance, breathwork and guided relaxation, offering you an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your body and enjoy a little time that’s just for you.

There are no expectations, no judgements and certainly no need to get everything right.

Just come as you are.

What is at EASE?

Created by Amanda Tooms, psychotherapist and former professional dancer, at EASE combines a lifelong passion for movement with an understanding of the connection between our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

Our bodies can hold so much of what we experience in everyday life. Stress, tension, worry and the demands of simply being human can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves.

Through mindful movement, music, gentle dance and relaxation, at EASE encourages you to become more aware of how you’re feeling, release some of that everyday tension and rediscover the enjoyment of moving your body.

And importantly, to have a little fun along the way!

This isn’t about how well you move. It’s about how movement makes you feel.

What happens during a class?

Each one-hour session is thoughtfully structured to offer a balance of movement, energy and rest.

We begin by slowing things down, bringing awareness to our breathing and gently connecting with our bodies.

From there, we gradually awaken the body through gentle stretching and flowing, body-friendly movements, before building a little more energy with a fun and accessible dance routine.

We finish by pressing pause with guided relaxation, allowing time for the body and mind to settle.

Throughout the class, you’re encouraged to listen to your body, move at your own pace and do what feels comfortable for you.

There is no pressure to perform, keep up or push yourself beyond what feels right.

Who is at EASE for?

at EASE is for anyone who would welcome a little time away from the demands of everyday life.

Perhaps you’re navigating a busy period, feeling stressed or overwhelmed, experiencing changes in your body, or simply looking for an enjoyable way to support your wellbeing.

You don’t need any previous dance experience or a particular level of fitness.

Whether you love to move or haven’t danced for years, you’re welcome.

It’s about creating a space where we can move, breathe, connect and feel comfortable being ourselves.

No judgement. No expectations. Just you, exactly as you are.

A little more than a movement class

One of the things I love most about at EASE is the opportunity to bring people together.

Connection is such an important part of our wellbeing, whether that’s reconnecting with ourselves, becoming more aware of our bodies or simply sharing a little laughter and conversation with others.

My hope is that you leave each class feeling a little lighter, a little more relaxed and perhaps a little more connected to yourself than when you arrived.
